Pepperstone Gives You Tight Spreads. TraderInsight.pro Gives You the Analysis to Use Them Well.
Published on · Updated on

Pepperstone built its reputation on execution quality: raw spreads, fast fills, access to MT4, MT5, and cTrader. Traders choose it because execution matters. But if you're trading forex seriously, execution is only part of the game. The other part - understanding which pairs you trade well, which sessions produce consistent results, and whether your strategy actually has an edge over hundreds of trades - happens off the platform.

TraderInsight.pro is where that analysis lives. Import your Pepperstone history and get performance reports that break down performance by instrument, session, and strategy; a P&L calendar that surfaces timing patterns; and AI analysis that answers questions about your trading in plain English.

For forex traders especially, the combination of session-level performance data and structured journaling produces the kind of self-knowledge that spreadsheets and platform logs can't replicate.

The Review Problem for Forex Traders

Forex is a game of consistency and edge - two things that are impossible to verify without structured data review. A platform like Pepperstone tells you what filled and at what price. It doesn't tell you that your EUR/USD trades win at 58% but your GBP/JPY trades lose at 63%, or that the London open session produces three times the profit per trade of your late New York session entries.

Those patterns exist in your data. Surfacing them requires tagging, filtering, and reporting - the kind of structured review that a proper trading journal enables. Once you see the patterns, you can act on them. Until then, you're repeating mistakes that feel different each time.

How to Export Your Trade History from Pepperstone

Pepperstone supports MT4, MT5, and cTrader. The export steps differ by platform.

MetaTrader 4 (MT4)

  1. Open MT4 and log into your Pepperstone account.
  2. Press Ctrl+T to open the Terminal panel, then click the Account History tab.
  3. Right-click anywhere in the history list. Select All History to make sure the full date range is shown.
  4. Right-click again and choose Save as Detailed Report. Save the file - it exports as HTML, which you can open in Excel and save as CSV.

MetaTrader 5 (MT5)

TraderInsight.pro supports MT5 imports directly. Follow the steps in the MetaTrader 5 import guide for the cleanest export process. In short:

  1. Open MT5 and go to ViewTerminalHistory tab.
  2. Right-click in the history panel and select Report, then save as XML or HTML for conversion.

cTrader

  1. Log into cTrader with your Pepperstone credentials.
  2. Open the History tab in the bottom panel.
  3. Right-click on the history entries and select Export to CSV.
  4. Choose your date range and save the file.

Importing into TraderInsight.pro

  1. Go to the Import page.
  2. Select Pepperstone from the broker list - or MetaTrader 5 if you exported from MT5.
  3. Drag and drop your exported file.

Structuring Your Forex Review

After import, the most valuable thing to do immediately is build a tag structure that reflects how you categorize your setups. For forex traders, common tag categories include:

  • Session (London Open, NY Open, London-NY overlap, Asian session)
  • Setup (trend continuation, reversal, breakout, news trade)
  • Pair (already captured in the data, but tagging pairs lets you filter by group - majors, crosses, exotics)

Once you have 50+ tagged trades, the comparison report starts showing you where your edge actually lives. The AI chat is also worth exploring: ask "What's my average R:R on GBP/JPY trades?" or "Which session produced the most profit last month?" and get instant answers from your own data.
